A connector on the machine running Tally syncs your books with the app, and the app shows each party with its closing balance and the invoices making it up. You open a retailer and see what he owes, which bills are overdue and how old each one is, without opening Tally or asking anyone in the office to read it out to you.
It updates as your Tally changes. When a voucher is passed on the desktop, the sync picks it up and the party balance on the phone moves with it. You are reading the same book your accountant is working in, so there is no second version of the number to reconcile against the first.
Yes. From the party screen you can send the ledger for a period, or a single invoice, as a PDF on WhatsApp. If payment collection is switched on, a pay-now link goes with it, so the retailer can settle straight from the message instead of promising to transfer later.
Only if you let him. View and create rights are set per register and per person, and you can restrict which ledgers a user sees. A salesman can be given his own parties and nothing else, so he can work his route without your whole receivables book being open to him.
Reading does not. Your Tally stays the system of record and nothing is rewritten to show you a balance. When you create a receipt or an invoice from the app, that voucher is written into Tally the way you would have entered it on the desktop, against the same party and the same bill.
