To send a personal order link, open the party's page in Takkada and tap Share order link. On a phone, WhatsApp opens on the party's number with a ready message, greeting him by name and telling him he can place his order with your business, followed by the link. If WhatsApp cannot open, the phone's share sheet appears instead. Before the first one, set up the company-wide link in Settings, Order link, because the personal link copies its business name, WhatsApp number and price choice. When the party opens his link, the page says "Ordering for" and his name, skips the name and GST questions, and asks him only to confirm his mobile number before Place order. His order lands in Customer orders already matched to him. Personal links are a separate module, Personal party links, which works on top of the Order Link add-on. Without the module, Share order link shows as locked on the party page.
Before you start
You need two things switched on for your business: the Order Link add-on and the Personal party links module. You also need the company-wide link set up once. Go to Settings, Order link, fill in Public business name and Merchant WhatsApp number, choose what prices customers see, and create the link. If you skip this, the party page tells you: "Set up your order link first in Settings > Order link, then share it with this customer."
Step 1: Open the party and share
Open the party from your customer list. Tap Share order link. The first time, Takkada creates the party's own link, copying the company-wide link's business name, WhatsApp number, price choice and out-of-stock setting.
On Android or iPhone, WhatsApp opens on the party's number with the message "Hi (party name), you can place your order with (your business) here", the link, and "Choose your items and send the order. We will confirm it." Press send. Where WhatsApp cannot open, the phone's share sheet appears so you can send it another way.
Step 2: Know what the party sees
The party taps the link and it opens in his browser. The heading reads "Ordering for" and his name. He searches your items, enters quantities, and moves to a step titled Confirm your number. He types his 10-digit mobile number, adds a note if he wants, and taps Place order. He does not type his shop name or GST number, because the link already knows who he is.
He sees Order sent with an order number, and a Tell the seller on WhatsApp button.
Step 3: Set his link's options
Back on the party page, tap Order link settings. Three options belong to this party's link only:
- Show schemes on this link: your schemes and their free goods and discounts show in his cart. This needs the Schemes module.
- Link discount %: a flat discount on every item. If a scheme gives more, the scheme wins.
- Requests become: Order or Invoice. This sets which button is the main one when you open his order.
Tap Save.
Step 4: Approve his order
Members with full access get a New order received notification, unless they have switched it off. His order is in Customer orders, already matched to him. Tap Yes, that is them to confirm the party, check the lines, then press Create order or Create invoice. The voucher goes to Tally when the sync runs on the office computer. If you need to send it again
For safety, the link's address cannot be shown a second time. Tapping Share order link again asks "Send a fresh order link?" and explains that the old link stops working. Confirm, and the party gets a new link.
