A Guwahati FMCG owner types Sharma at 9 PM, sees Sharma Kirana of Fancy Bazaar lifting rice and oil, and sees the new atta SKU sitting in the gap. Sharma already tickets around ₹22,000 twice a week. Das Stores two shops down has the same atta gap. The owner sends Raju three names, not a scheme SMS to eighty parties. Party search is a search box. You type a name. There is no salesman filter and no godown filter.

How do I find which items a customer is not buying from me?
Open Reports, Action Reports, Cross-sell Gaps. That is how you find which items a customer is not buying from you, party by party, from the Tally books synced to the phone. Each gap is an item that party has not lifted, against a catalogue they already buy from.
It lives under Action Reports, in the same list as Collections, Bills Receivable, Bills Payable, Sales Analytics, Customer Analytics, Inventory, Purchase Analytics and Daybook. Evening is when it earns a slot, after Customer Analytics has already told you Sharma is worth the conversation, as the daily checklist for Tally reports lays out.
The item wise sales report tells you atta is slow across the company. Cross-sell Gaps tells you Sharma never started. Those are different calls. One is a purchase hold. The other is a counter sentence.
Reading a cross sell report distributor list at the counter
A cross sell report distributor list ranks the catalogue holes for a party who already buys. Sharma takes rice and oil. The gap row is atta. The sentence at Fancy Bazaar is "atta bhi rakh lo, rice ke saath nikalta hai," not a general scheme SMS to 80 parties.
That only works if the party is real. Customer Analytics, on who buys, how often, how much, is the check that Sharma still lifts twice a week at around ₹22,000. A gap on a party who stopped lifting is a waste of van time. Open Customer Analytics first, then Cross-sell Gaps on the names that still come.
Most action reports have no date filter. Daybook has Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days and Custom. Ledger statement and godown reports have This FY, This Quarter, This Month, Last Month, Last FY and Custom. Cross-sell Gaps is an action report. Treat it as the books standing now, not a festival-season rewind.
Party search is a search box. Type Sharma. There is no picker and no multi-select. There is no salesman filter. If Raju runs Fancy Bazaar, you still type Sharma. You do not chip the report down to Raju.
Sharma, rice, oil, and the atta that never moved
The new atta SKU has been in the godown for three weeks. Sales Analytics, on sales analytics from Tally, already showed 4 bags against a plan of 40. Cross-sell Gaps on Sharma shows he never lifted it. Two shops down, Das Stores has it in the gap too. A third party, the weekly one who went quiet, also has it, and that row can wait until he lifts anything again.
Tomorrow Raju gets three names, not a lecture. Sharma, Das, and one more Fancy Bazaar counter who takes rice. The atta goes on the floor next to the rice bag they already pull. If it still does not move in a week, that is a price or a pack problem, and the stock summary will still show the stack.
Sharma currently owes ₹1,85,000. Outstanding, on the outstanding receivables report, is whether you even unload. Cross-sell is the sentence after he has paid enough that you are still doing business. Mixing the two sittings is how a collections call turns into a catalogue pitch and neither works.
Nine PM in the car is when you build the three-name list. Eight-thirty is Outstanding. Keep them apart. If Sharma is on hold for ₹1,85,000, atta does not go on his floor tomorrow anyway. The gap can wait until the oil hold lifts. Cross-sell is a conversation for a party you are still stocking.
How this sits next to Sales Analytics and Customer Analytics
Sales Analytics names the slow SKU. Customer Analytics names the live party. Cross-sell Gaps names the hole between them. All three are Action Reports. The owner who opens only Sales Analytics knows atta is slow. The owner who also opens Cross-sell Gaps knows who to say it to at the counter.
Purchase Analytics is the buying-side pair, next to the purchase report on mobile. If atta is slow because you over-bought, that is Purchase Analytics plus stock. If atta is slow because Sharma never saw it, that is this report.
The party wise sales report still ranks who carries the rupee total. Cross-sell does not replace it. Sharma can sit at the top of party-wise sales and still have a gap the size of a pack you launched in April.
Access to the Reports tab is permission-controlled per team member. A member without that permission does not see reports at all, including this list. The wider set of Tally reports on mobile is how the phone reads the same Tally books.
PDF, Excel, and the share sheet
Raju is already on the beat at 8:50. The owner sends the gap list as a file. PDF and Excel export exist for Cross-sell Gaps, behind a chooser sheet. You pick the file type, then the phone's share sheet, then WhatsApp, or email, or Drive. That is how the list leaves the phone. There is no separate one-tap WhatsApp button on this report.
The same chooser exists for Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Bills Receivable ageing, Bills Payable ageing, MIS, Payments, Purchase Analytics, Sales Analytics and Inventory Velocity. Customer Analytics and Receivables Ageing export to PDF only. Daybook shares as PDF or as a CSV file. Cross-sell Gaps is on the chooser list.
A party's ledger statement is a different send. Sharma's "bhai, statement bhej do" is the party-page path. This file is the gap list.
What this report does not do
It does not raise the sales order. Raju still writes the atta line, or the owner does, from the phone, as a voucher. The report named the hole. It did not fill it.
It does not filter by salesman or godown. Godown is its own report. It does not rewind to last Navratri. It does not replace Outstanding, Daybook, or Profit & Loss.
It does not tell you the party will buy. Sharma can look at the atta and say no. The report earned the sentence. The counter still does the work.
Three names for Raju, not a scheme SMS
The owner used to forward a scheme JPEG to the whole beat: new atta, 2 kg, rate on the image. Eighty parties, one broadcast, zero follow-up. Cross-sell Gaps replaced that JPEG with three names. Sharma, Das, and the Fancy Bazaar counter who already pulls rice. Raju gets the Excel from the share sheet at 8:50, WhatsApp, and the atta goes on the floor next to the rice those three already take.
A fourth party has the atta gap and a broken frequency on Customer Analytics. He stays off Raju's list this week. Pitching a new SKU to a shop that stopped lifting rice is how scheme stock comes back as a credit note. The gap report named him. The owner still left him off the challan.
By Friday the owner opens Sales Analytics again. If atta is 18 bags instead of 4, the three conversations did the work. If atta is still 4, the gap was never going to close at this pack or this rate, and Purchase Analytics plus the stock summary decide whether the stack stays. Cross-sell earned the week of trying. It did not promise the lift. Saturday he types Sharma again. If atta is still in the gap, next week's sentence at the counter gets shorter: "last time skip kiya, ek bag rakh ke dekho." Same report, second sitting, same party.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I find which items a customer is not buying from me?
A: Open Reports, then Action Reports, then Cross-sell Gaps on the phone. That cross sell report distributor view lists items a customer should be buying and is not, read from the Tally books synced to the device. Type a party name in the search box to land on that ledger.
Q: Is a cross sell report distributor view the same as an item-wise sales report?
A: No. An item-wise sales report shows which products moved across the company. A cross sell report distributor view shows which items a given customer has not lifted. Atta can be slow in item-wise sales, and Cross-sell Gaps still tells you Sharma Kirana never started.
Q: Can I export Cross-sell Gaps from Tally to Excel on the phone?
A: Yes. Cross-sell Gaps offers a PDF and Excel chooser. Every exported PDF or Excel goes through the phone's share sheet, where you pick WhatsApp, email or Drive. Customer Analytics and Receivables Ageing export to PDF only. Daybook shares as PDF or as a CSV file.
Q: Can I filter Cross-sell Gaps by salesman or godown?
A: No. There is no salesman filter and no godown filter on this report. Godown is its own report. Party search is a search box. You type a name. Access to the Reports tab is permission-controlled per team member.
Q: Does Cross-sell Gaps on the phone have a date filter?
A: Cross-sell Gaps is an action report, and most action reports have no date filter. Daybook has Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days and Custom. Ledger statement and godown reports have This FY, This Quarter, This Month, Last Month, Last FY and Custom. Ageing is always as of today.
Q: Where do I open the report of items a customer is not buying in Tally?
A: Open Reports, then Action Reports, then Cross-sell Gaps. Use Customer Analytics first if you need to confirm the party still lifts, then open Cross-sell Gaps on those names. Evening is when a distributor builds the three-name list for tomorrow's counters.
