Order links for agri-input dealers let village retailers send their seed, fertiliser and pesticide orders from a link on WhatsApp instead of calling your counter during the busiest weeks of the season. The retailer opens the link in his phone's browser, finds items by typing part of the name, enters bags or packets, and taps Place order. In Takkada the order sits with you until you confirm the retailer, check quantities and rates, and press Create order or Create invoice; the voucher you create is what your office sync carries into Tally. Agri rates move during the season, so you can choose Don't show prices, and the retailer picks items while you price the order on approval. The page sends items and quantities only, never a rate. The retailer needs a working internet connection to open the link and send, and no app or login.
Sowing season at the counter
An agri-input dealer in a district town supplies 150 village retailers. For most of the year the phone is quiet. Then the rains come, and for six weeks every retailer wants seed, urea, DAP and pesticide at once, mostly on credit until harvest. The counter staff take orders on the phone between walk-in farmers, write them in a register, and type them into Tally at night. A retailer who could not get through on Monday calls again on Tuesday, and now there are two orders for the same bags.
Sending the link before the rush
Set up the company-wide link in Settings, Order link, with your business name and WhatsApp number, and send it to your retailers before the season opens. When you create the link, your Tally stock items are already on it; under Items on this link you can switch off anything you do not want offered, such as products for the other crop.
A retailer opens it, types "dap" or a seed variety, and sees each item with its unit, so he orders 50 kg bags when you sell 50 kg bags. He enters his name, his 10-digit mobile number, and a note such as "deliver with Thursday vehicle", then taps Place order. The page gives him an order number and a Tell the seller on WhatsApp button.
Rates in a season that changes weekly
Under Prices customers see you can pick Don't show prices, which tells the retailer "Add what you need. The seller will confirm the prices with you." If your rates are steady, Tally rates or a Tally price level shows them instead, and the cart shows a total before GST when every item has a rate. Either way the retailer cannot type a rate.
If your stock in Tally is accurate, switch off Show items that are out of stock, and items at zero or less leave the list. That stops orders for a seed variety you have already sold out of.
Confirming only what you can supply
Between walk-in farmers, open Customer orders, confirm the retailer against your books, and work through the lines. On a Don't show prices order every line needs a Rate (excl. GST) before you can create anything, and you can lower a Quantity to what you can actually send.
