You share a Tally report on WhatsApp by exporting the PDF (or Excel) and picking WhatsApp on the phone's share sheet. How you send a Tally report on WhatsApp is that path, report by report, not a separate WhatsApp button on every screen. On the web app, a manual WhatsApp send carries the message text only, also copied to clipboard; the PDF attachment is phone-only. A Guwahati FMCG owner at Fancy Bazaar at 9:40 gets Sharma Kirana asking for the Trial Balance or the ageing as a file. He opens the report, exports, and the share sheet is where WhatsApp sits, next to email and Drive. A party's ledger statement and pending-bills statement leave from the party page, the bills page and the ageing report, which is a different path from a report PDF. Daybook shares as PDF or as a CSV file.

How do I send a Tally report on WhatsApp?
Open the report on the phone. Export the PDF or Excel. The phone's share sheet opens. Pick WhatsApp, then the chat. That is how you share a Tally report on WhatsApp. Email and Drive sit on the same sheet. There is no parallel WhatsApp control hiding on every report.
The Reports screen is two groups. Financial Statements hold Trial Balance, Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and MIS Reports. Action Reports hold Collections, Bills Receivable, Bills Payable, Sales Analytics, Customer Analytics, Cross-sell Gaps, Inventory, Purchase Analytics and Daybook. Each report that exports does so on its own screen. The daily checklist for Tally reports is which of those you open through the day. This post is how a file from one of them reaches a chat.
Party search on every report is a search box. You type a name. Access to the Reports tab is permission-controlled per team member. A member without that permission does not see reports at all, so he also cannot share them.
Share a Tally report on WhatsApp from the share sheet
Export, then the share sheet. WhatsApp is one destination on that sheet, the same sheet iOS or Android already uses for a photo. The file is the report you had open. The chat is the one you pick after WhatsApp opens.
A worked sitting. Trial Balance at 9:10 for the CA. Chooser, PDF or Excel. Share sheet, WhatsApp, the CA's saved number. The owner is still on the Fancy Bazaar pavement. Sharma's ₹1,85,000 is a line on that list if the ledger has a balance. The CA asked for a file. The share sheet is how the file left.
The same sheet handles Bills Receivable ageing at midday, Sales Analytics in the evening if Reports+ is on, Daybook PDF after a salesman said "12 bill ho gaye." Changing the destination from WhatsApp to email does not change the report. It only changes who receives the file.
Stock and godown screens have no export. If the question is whether Jorhat has 30 cartons, that is a godown view, not a report PDF on WhatsApp. Do not wait for a share sheet on a screen that does not export.
Which Tally reports you can share this way
PDF and Excel, through the chooser then the share sheet, exist for Trial Balance, Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Bills Receivable ageing, Bills Payable ageing, MIS, Payments, Purchase Analytics, Sales Analytics, Cross-sell Gaps and Inventory Velocity. That list is the Excel export from mobile map. Pick PDF on the chooser when the person on the other end wants a page they can open without a spreadsheet.
Receivables Ageing and Customer Analytics export to PDF, then the same share sheet. There is no Excel on those two. Daybook shares as PDF or as a CSV file. The CSV goes through the share sheet too. Call it CSV in the chat so the office does not look for an .xlsx.
Tally-format export, the layout Tally itself prints, exists for Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Bills Payable and Bills Receivable. Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet export in that format only for the current period. That file also goes through the share sheet. The Tally-format export from the phone post is when the CA wants that layout rather than a PDF of the phone screen.
Reports+ is a paid add-on bundled into the Copilot plan. MIS, Sales Analytics, Cross-sell Gaps, Purchase Analytics and Inventory Velocity stay dark without it. You cannot share a report the member cannot open.
Most action reports have no date filter. Ageing is always as of today. Daybook has Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days and Custom, plus a voucher-type chip. Sharing Daybook for Today is a different file from Last 7 days. Sharing Bills Receivable is always today's ageing.
The wider set of Tally reports on mobile is the same books. The share sheet is how a file from those books leaves the phone.
Ledger and pending-bills statements are a different path
A party's ledger statement and pending-bills statement can go from the party page, the bills page and the ageing report. That is not the report-PDF share sheet. Sharma WhatsApping "bhai, statement bhej do" is this path, not Trial Balance.
Two ways from those three screens. Send from my WhatsApp opens your own WhatsApp with the message pre-filled, and the PDF goes through the share sheet after that. From the Takkada business number, the app shows the message as queued. The own WhatsApp versus business number post is what changes between those two. Settings › Statements is Ledger Account or Pending Bills, plus Include details, in the pending bills versus full ledger comparison.
The older how-to for sharing a ledger statement from Tally still walks the desktop export plus the party-page path. Use that when the question is the statement. Use this post when the question is a report PDF.
On the web app, WhatsApp carries text only
On the web app, a manual WhatsApp send carries the message text only, also copied to clipboard. The PDF attachment is a phone-only behaviour. If you are at the office browser and Sharma wants the ageing PDF in the chat, the file has to leave a phone. The web send can put the words in WhatsApp. It does not put the PDF in the chat.
That is why a partner sitting at Chrome who says the WhatsApp report "did not attach" is usually on web. Open the same report on the phone, export, share sheet, WhatsApp. The clipboard copy on web is so you can paste the text if you already have the file sitting in Drive.
Report PDFs and Excel files are phone share-sheet. Statement PDFs from the party page follow the two ways above, and the PDF on that path also rides the share sheet when you pick Send from my WhatsApp. Web does not grow a PDF attachment that the phone has.
9:40 at Fancy Bazaar: Sharma wants a file
Sharma Kirana, Fancy Bazaar, 9:40. "bhai, statement bhej do." That is the party-page statement, not a Trial Balance PDF. Open the party. Send from my WhatsApp, or queue it on the business number.
If the CA, not Sharma, asked for Trial Balance at 9:10, that is Financial Statements, Trial Balance, chooser, share sheet, WhatsApp. If the brother asked for August versus July, that is MIS if Reports+ is on, or Profit and Loss, then the same sheet. If a salesman said twelve invoices and you want the office to see Today's sales vouchers, that is Daybook, PDF or CSV, share sheet.
The file you pick has to match the question. A Trial Balance PDF will not settle Sharma's ₹1,85,000. A pending-bills statement will not satisfy the CA who asked for a Trial Balance. The share sheet will happily put either file in a chat. It will not rename the file for you.
A second WhatsApp at 9:55 is the brother asking for August sales as a sheet. That is Profit and Loss or Sales Analytics if Reports+ is on, Excel from the chooser, then the same share sheet. Three chats, three files, one sheet. The sheet does not remember the last destination. You pick WhatsApp each time.
